Calibrate Review: What It Costs and What the Guarantee Really Covers
Checked Sep 11, 2026
We don't list Calibrate, and we earn nothing if you choose it. Calibrate is at joincalibrate.com.
Calibrate is a weight loss program that its FAQ says is available in all 50 states and D.C. As of September 11, 2026, its pricing page listed the Metabolic Reset at $199 a month with a 3-month commitment required, which the page says brings your total commitment cost to $597. Lab tests and prescription medications are not included in that fee, and its membership terms say Calibrate does not guarantee that any prescriptions will be ordered. The biggest catch is contractual: its own membership terms say there are no refunds once you have paid for a term, and no waiver of unpaid installments during the three-month initial term.
Calibrate's FAQ describes it as a holistic approach to weight loss that combines clinician-prescribed GLP-1 medication and 1:1 video coaching with lifestyle changes, and says it is available in all 50 states and D.C. Its medication page lists GLP-1 options including Zepbound (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide), and says your Calibrate Medical Team determines which medication is clinically appropriate for you. Its membership terms state that Calibrate does not guarantee that any prescriptions will be ordered.
Calibrate's medication page says it does not prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications, and states that compounded versions are not FDA-approved. Its membership terms also state that Calibrate does not dispense any medications.
The program describes itself as not built around a restrictive diet. Its FAQ says there are no sweeping restrictions or calorie counting, and that it does not use meal replacements or offer meal plans.
Calibrate's FAQ also states that it is HIPAA-compliant.
What it costs, as of September 2026
As of September 11, 2026, Calibrate's pricing page listed the Metabolic Reset at $199 a month with a 3-month commitment required, and said this brings your total commitment cost to $597, paid in monthly installments of $199.
The pricing page lists what the membership includes: a 20-minute video clinician visit including lab work review, ongoing access to your Medical and Support Teams, support navigating medication insurance coverage, 1:1 video coaching sessions, a curriculum focused on food, exercise, sleep, and emotional health, and tracking tools in the Calibrate app. A Welcome Kit is listed as included, with a personalized smart scale that connects to the Calibrate app.
The $199 fee listed on September 11, 2026 does not cover everything. The same page says lab tests and prescription medications are not included in the membership cost, and no self-pay medication price appeared on that page on September 11, 2026.
How it works
According to its how-it-works page, you take an eligibility quiz and sign up, download the Calibrate app, complete blood work at a lab convenient to you, and then discuss your results with your Calibrate clinician during your first virtual appointment. You also start the Calibrate curriculum and have a 1:1 coaching session.
Calibrate's pages disagree on how long that first clinician visit lasts. As of September 11, 2026, the pricing page and the how-it-works page both described a 20-minute video visit, while the FAQ said your initial clinical visit takes place via video and lasts 30 minutes.
Its FAQ, answering who the clinicians on its platform are, says "All of our physicians are US-licensed and board-certified Nurse Practitioners," and its how-it-works page says all Calibrate clinicians are US-licensed and board-certified.
The program starts with an initial three-month commitment. After that, the pricing page says your membership renews one month at a time and that you can cancel at any time.
Insurance and payment
As of September 11, 2026, Calibrate's pricing page said the cost of the Calibrate program is not covered by insurance, and that it is HSA/FSA eligible. Its membership terms, last updated October 23, 2025, state that Calibrate does not participate with or bill commercial health insurance plans or federal healthcare programs such as Medicare or Medicaid.
Medication and labs are handled separately. The pricing page, checked September 11, 2026, says Calibrate will work with your commercial or employer insurance to get lab tests and prescription medications covered, and that GLP-1s for most members with commercial insurance should be $25 a month or less, after any deductible is met. That figure is limited to commercial insurance and applies after your deductible, and the membership terms say the cost of any prescribed medication is not included in your Membership Fees. None of the Calibrate pages checked on September 11, 2026 named a specific commercial insurer.
The membership terms say Membership Fees are billed monthly and auto-renew each month following your subscription start date.
What to know before you sign up
Calibrate's weight loss figures are its own company-reported averages, and they are not identical across its site. As of September 11, 2026, its home page said that on average, its members lose 20% of their body weight achieved over three years, while its how-it-works page and its medication page each also stated, in one place on the page, 19% average weight loss over three years. Its FAQ gives a staged figure of 16% at 12 months, 18% at 24 months, and 20% at 36 months, which it attributes to its own Results Report. These are averages Calibrate reports, not a result any individual is promised.
Calibrate's Money Back Promise page, last updated May 16, 2024 by its own timestamp, says you may qualify for a 50% refund of your total paid Membership Fees if you do not achieve a minimum of 10% weight loss at the end of 12 consecutive membership months. That is half of the membership fees, not the full amount, and the page says any refund excludes the cost of your medication, labs, any discounts received, and other items and services charged by third parties.
To be eligible, the page says you must have signed up after May 16, 2024, self-paid for the program (not through an employer or insurance program), not taken any prescription weight loss medication during the twelve months before purchasing the program, completed 12 consecutive months, and complied with the Calibrate Commitment starting in the second month. The page also says the promise does not apply to Continuing Members, as defined in its membership terms.
Separately, Calibrate's Membership Terms and Conditions, last updated October 23, 2025, state that Calibrate does not provide refunds once you have paid for a term, and does not waive any unpaid installments of fees during the three-month initial term. The terms also describe a 15-day grace period to provide a valid form of payment if fees are not paid when due, after which you may be terminated from the program, and automatic renewal for one-month terms after the initial term.
In short, the guarantee page and the membership terms govern different things: the guarantee is a conditional partial refund tied to a weight loss threshold, while the membership terms govern ordinary cancellation and state that paid terms are not refundable.
Who it may suit, and who may want to look elsewhere
Based on what the site states, Calibrate may suit you if you want a structured program that pairs coaching with a clinician who decides whether medication is appropriate, and you are comfortable committing to at least a three-month initial term with no refund once a term is paid.
It may suit you less well if you want the flexibility to cancel and get money back at any point, since its own membership terms rule that out for paid terms, if you want the membership fee itself covered by insurance, which its pricing page says it is not, or if you want compounded GLP-1 medication, which its medication page says it does not prescribe.

Calibrate reports its own averages, and its pages are not identical. As of September 11, 2026, its home page said its members lose 20% of their body weight on average over three years, its how-it-works and medication pages also said 19% over three years in one place, and its FAQ gave 16% at 12 months, 18% at 24 months, and 20% at 36 months, citing its own Results Report. These are averages Calibrate reports, not a promised result. Its Money Back Promise is tied to 10% weight loss at 12 months.
Can you get a refund from Calibrate?
It depends which policy applies. Calibrate's Money Back Promise says you may qualify for a 50% refund of your total paid Membership Fees, excluding medication, labs and other third-party costs, if you do not achieve a minimum of 10% weight loss at the end of 12 consecutive membership months and you meet its eligibility conditions, including self-paying for the program. Its Membership Terms and Conditions state separately that it does not provide refunds once you have paid for a term, and does not waive unpaid installments of the three-month initial term.

After the initial term, the pricing page says your membership renews one month at a time and that you can cancel at any time.
