Everlywell Weight Care+ Review: What It Costs and What to Check First

Everlywell's homepage leads with at-home lab testing, under the line "Lab testing, simplified," as checked on September 11, 2026. Separate from its test kits, Everlywell runs Weight Care+, which its Terms of Use call a paid weight management membership. Through it, a clinician may prescribe GLP-1 medication, including Zepbound and Wegovy, if you qualify.

Everlywell's Weight Care+ FAQ says the membership fee covers ongoing virtual consults with a clinician, writing and renewing GLP-1 prescriptions if applicable, help navigating insurance for prescription coverage, and features in the Everlywell app. Its Zepbound and Wegovy pages also list support for related conditions such as prediabetes and high cholesterol, plus an included quarterly at-home lab test or 3 month multivitamin supply; the FAQ's list of what the fee covers does not mention that quarterly item. The drug pages say the program is available for those ages 18 and older, while the FAQ says only those aged 18 up to 74 are eligible.

Everlywell's Terms of Use, last updated June 24, 2026, say the initial clinician consultation and the first month of the membership are included in your purchase of the Quest Weight Loss Journey Test Panel.

Medication is billed separately. As of September 11, 2026, the same FAQ said that if you cannot use insurance or a discount card, GLP-1 prescription medication costs may range from $900 to $1,400 for a one month supply. It also says Everlywell does not directly sell GLP-1 or other medications, and that prescriptions can be filled at the pharmacy of your choice.

Everlywell's Zepbound and Wegovy pages each describe the same three step flow. First, you partner with a clinician to discuss your weight goals and complete testing to determine whether GLP-1 medication is right for you. Second, you meet with your clinician regularly to optimize your medication, with one to one lifestyle support. Third, you get support for related conditions like high cholesterol and prediabetes, along with an included quarterly at-home lab test or 3 month multivitamin supply. Those pages note that the at-home lab tests are not available to New York residents due to state regulation of laboratory testing.

On lab work, Everlywell's FAQ says lab testing is not required before your provider prescribes GLP-1 medication but is recommended, and that you can upload results completed in the past 24 months. The same FAQ, answering whether lab testing is required for the program, says yes, and that if you enter through Quest you first purchase a Weight Loss Panel.

The Zepbound and Wegovy pages also describe an Rx Concierge service for enrollees who want help finding their prescribed medication nearby. The pages present it as a response to what they call "the current GLP-1 medication shortage," and say a team member researches pharmacy options using the medication and dosage, the maximum distance you are willing to travel, and your city and zip code. Everlywell is explicit that a prescription is not guaranteed, even if you are over 18 and meet certain criteria.

Everlywell's Weight Care+ FAQ, last updated August 27, 2026, says virtual visits for Weight Care+ are not currently covered by insurance, though some insurance plans may cover other costs related to weight loss treatment, such as lab testing and prescription weight loss medication. It says GLP-1 medication may be covered by your plan, that your clinician can help with prior authorization if needed, and that GLP-1 prescriptions are typically more affordable with insurance, though your exact cost will depend on your plan. If prior authorization is denied, the FAQ says you can pay out of pocket or may be eligible for alternatives such as naltrexone with bupropion, orlistat or metformin, and it notes that weight loss is an off-label use of metformin.

On its Wegovy page, Everlywell notes that Ozempic is not FDA-approved for weight loss and is sometimes prescribed off label if a provider deems it appropriate, while Wegovy is approved by the FDA as a weight management medication. On compounded drugs, Everlywell's own pages disagree. Checked on September 11, 2026, that address redirected to Everlywell's homepage, which leads with "Lab testing, simplified." and does not mention weight care. Everlywell's footer links to a site map whose Weight Management and Virtual Care Home entries both returned a page not found error on the same date. Its Terms of Use describe Weight Care+ as available to eligible individuals who buy a qualifying Quest Weight Loss Journey Test Panel directly from Quest Health and enroll within six months of that purchase.

Everlywell's pages describe cancellation in two different ways. The Weight Care+ FAQ says the program requires a 3 month or 12 month commitment depending on your plan, and lists two cases where you may cancel early: if you turn out to be ineligible during or after the first virtual consult, or if insurance will not cover the medication or it is too costly for you. In both cases it says prior charges are not refunded. The Terms of Use say that after the first month included through Quest, the program converts to a recurring monthly subscription, and their subscriptions section says you may cancel your subscription at any time, online through your account settings or by emailing contact@everlywell.com, with a cancellation made at least 24 hours before your next scheduled charge stopping the next billing period.

Weight Care+ may suit you if you want GLP-1 care that also includes support for prediabetes and high cholesterol, as Everlywell's drug pages describe, or if you plan to buy Quest's Weight Loss Journey Test Panel anyway, since Everlywell's Terms of Use say the initial clinician consultation and first month are included in that purchase. It may also suit you if you want help finding a GLP-1 prescription locally, given the Rx Concierge option its drug pages describe.

You may want to look elsewhere if you want a compounded GLP-1, since Everlywell's current FAQ says it does not prescribe them, or if you want one clear cancellation rule before you pay, since its FAQ and its Terms of Use describe cancellation differently.
