Nurx is an operating telehealth company whose homepage, as of September 11, 2026, highlighted ten treatment areas, including weight management and birth control. Weight management carries a $79 consultation fee plus a $79 monthly provider support fee, on top of medication: a branded GLP-1 pen you buy separately at your own pharmacy, or an oral plan at a cash price of $60 to $329 a month. Birth control carries a $28 consultation fee, with medication as low as $0 with insurance. The catch: Nurx says it does not submit its consultation fees to insurance at this time, and its $79 monthly weight management fee is not eligible for insurance coverage, so those stay cash costs even when your medication is covered.
What Nurx Is and What It Treats
As of September 11, 2026, Nurx's site was live, and its homepage highlighted ten treatment areas: birth control, menopause and HRT, weight management, anti-aging, acne, emergency contraception, eyelash serum, herpes, melasma and mental health. Its site menu also lists other conditions, including rosacea, women's hair loss, dandruff, UTI, bacterial vaginosis, vaginitis and yeast infection, plus a Migraines link that points to a Cove page.
If a search for PrEP, STI testing or erectile dysfunction brought you here, know that none of those appeared on Nurx's homepage or in its site menu on the check date. That doesn't mean Nurx dropped them. We could not confirm either way from the public site, so ask Nurx directly if one of those is what you need.
What Weight Management Costs
As of September 11, 2026, Nurx's weight management page listed brand-name GLP-1 prices as starting averages: Zepbound (tirzepatide), Ozempic and Mounjaro each at a listed start of $1,000 a month on average, Wegovy (semaglutide) and Saxenda at $1,300, and Victoza at $650. Its FAQ describes that $650 to $1,300 range as the average for the lowest dose without insurance coverage and tells you to confirm the price with your local pharmacy. If your provider prescribes an oral medication instead of an injectable, Nurx listed a cash price of $60 to $329 a month for the treatment plan.
Those medication prices are separate from what Nurx itself charges. As of September 11, 2026, Nurx says anyone who requests weight management treatment is charged a $79 consultation fee, and that if you receive treatment you pay a recurring $79 monthly provider support fee. You pick up and pay for the branded pen at your own local pharmacy, not through Nurx.
What Birth Control Costs
Nurx's birth control page, checked September 11, 2026, listed a $28 consultation fee for anyone who requests a prescription, which Nurx says includes a year of messaging with its medical team; you complete a new annual consultation, with any related fees, when your prescription is up for renewal. Nurx says pill packs can run as low as $0 with insurance, or as little as $15 per pack without it, and that it ships and bills quarterly. Its fine print adds that additional costs apply, including a consultation and periodic support fee.
Insurance and Payment: Two Different Rules
As of September 11, 2026, insurance worked differently depending on which service you use, and the difference is worth being precise about. For birth control, Nurx says it accepts most forms of private health insurance for the medication, and says pill packs can cost as low as $0 with insurance. It says that at this time it does not submit claims to insurance for the $28 consult fee.

Nurx adds that not all insurance plans are accepted and price is not guaranteed.
What to Know Before You Sign Up
