Push Health Review: What the Platform Costs and How It Works

Push Health describes itself as a software platform designed to help medical providers connect with you for minor healthcare needs. Its FAQ page states that through Push Health, you can connect with independent, licensed doctors and medical providers using its software, request prescription consultations, and get help with lab testing.

The site says it has been used by licensed medical providers around the country since 2013. It also says the independent providers who use the platform provide care, message securely, and send invoices according to their own professional judgment and scope of practice, and that Push Health does not influence the decisions of those independent providers in any way.

The services listed on the site span weight loss medications, a set of common conditions such as acne, asthma, birth control, cold sores, erectile dysfunction, pink eye, scabies, STD treatment, toenail fungus, urinary tract infections, yeast infections, and vitiligo, plus Quest Diagnostics lab testing in specific states.

One limit stated plainly on the weight loss page and repeated in the FAQ: controlled medications cannot be prescribed through Push Health. That rules out phentermine, phendimetrazine, and Qsymia for weight loss, and the FAQ applies the same rule to controlled medications generally.

Push Health's weight loss page, last updated August 5, 2026 by its own timestamp and checked September 11, 2026, said weight loss medications range from approximately $149 a month to $449 a month, and that manufacturer savings programs and insurance may significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs. That is a medication cost: the same page says your provider will send a prescription to a pharmacy or manufacturer program of your choice, and the FAQ says fees paid through Push Health are service fees only. The same page said that starting July 1, 2026, eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries can access certain medications for $50 a month through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program.

Outside weight loss, the FAQ, checked September 11, 2026, describes a variable fee model rather than a single published price: fees range from $0 to a flat fee depending on the service, and that fee covers both any professional fee the provider charges and a processing fee for the platform. The FAQ states that fees are typically less than insurance co-pays and that costs are always clearly displayed. A general per-visit dollar amount for non-weight-loss consults was not published on the pages checked.

For context on brand-name pricing without coverage, its own page on Mounjaro, last updated August 24, 2026, states the drug is expensive when paying out of pocket at the list price, often around $1,000 or more a month without coverage, and that prior authorization is frequently required. That page also states plainly that Mounjaro itself is not FDA-approved for weight loss, and that Zepbound is the tirzepatide product labeled for weight management.

According to the FAQ, the first step is connecting with an affiliated medical provider; once registered, you can request a service such as a prescription consultation or help with lab testing. The FAQ says most providers review requests in 24 hours or less, though it ultimately depends on your medical provider.

If a provider decides you need a prescription, Push Health says the type and amount of medication will be determined by your medical provider. Approved prescriptions are sent electronically to a pharmacy you choose, and lab orders are routed to Quest Diagnostics.

Push Health is explicit that it is not a pharmacy and does not ship medications. Once a prescription is written, coordinating fulfillment, including checking availability and any medication cost, is on you and the pharmacy you selected. The FAQ says fees paid through Push Health are service fees only, not payment for the medication itself.

The FAQ also states Push Health has completed the review processes necessary to get certified by LegitScript.

As of September 11, 2026, Push Health said insurance is not required to use the platform. Its FAQ says services are paid for with a valid credit card or PayPal, and its page on getting care also lists a Health Savings Account. The FAQ states payment processing runs through Braintree and that credit card data is never stored in its system.

For medication, the FAQ says that depending on your insurance, the pharmacy may charge additional fees to cover the cost of the actual medications. For lab testing, the FAQ says you do not need to pay additional fees or provide insurance information at the Quest lab.

Refunds are conditional and time-limited. For a medication request, the FAQ states that refunds only apply if your medical provider charged a professional fee, and that a full refund of all fees related to the canceled service applies if you cancel before your provider writes a prescription. Once you approve a prescription, Push Health says it is not able to offer a refund. For lab testing, Push Health says it can provide a full refund of lab testing fees and Push Health fees if you cancel your test order before getting tested; professional fees, if any, related to canceled testing are not refundable.

Guaranteed-price lab testing through Quest Diagnostics is not nationwide. The FAQ, in its section for medical providers, lists 36 states plus the District of Columbia where lab testing at guaranteed prices through Quest Diagnostics is available. Its section for you adds that you see a Request Lab Tests button only if your medical provider is offering lab testing through Push Health.

Push Health says controlled medications cannot be prescribed through Push Health, and its weight loss page names phentermine, phendimetrazine, and Qsymia as controlled weight loss medications that cannot be prescribed there. If a provider believes a controlled medication is the right option for you, Push Health's own platform cannot be used to prescribe it.

Push Health does not ship or sell medications and is not itself a pharmacy, so getting your prescription filled, and paying whatever that pharmacy charges for the drug itself, is a separate step you manage on your own once a prescription is written.

Based on what the site states, Push Health may suit you if you want a prescription consultation for a non-controlled medication without insurance, and you are comfortable coordinating pharmacy pickup or delivery separately.

It may suit you less well if you specifically need a controlled medication, if you want an all-in-one service that also ships the medication, or if you need lab testing and live outside the areas its FAQ lists for guaranteed-price lab testing.
