Key Takeaways

Best premature ejaculation telehealth in Michigan: Ro, Strut, and Hims (insurance parity law covers telehealth PE consultations at same rate as in-person visits). Five PE treatment providers operate in Michigan in 2026. You benefit from Michigan's full insurance parity law, which reimburses telehealth consultations for PE at the same rate as in-person visits - a financial advantage most states lack.

Who This Is For

This is for
  • Michigan residents who want a prescription from a licensed Michigan provider, not an out-of-state one.
  • You live in Michigan and are comfortable completing a video consultation to get PE treatment.
  • Michigan men who want to compare 5 available telehealth PE providers before choosing one.
Not for
  • Michigan residents who cannot do a video visit and have no documented reason for audio-only may not qualify.
  • Not suitable if you need a provider licensed outside Michigan - prescriptions here must come from a Michigan-licensed clinician.
  • If your symptoms are new, changing, or came with pain, tell a licensed provider, because the cause is part of what they assess before prescribing.
  • A remote visit cannot include a physical exam or in-office testing. If that matters for your situation, raise it with a licensed provider before choosing a platform.
  • If this is an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Telehealth is not for emergency care.

These notes are not a medical screening: a licensed provider decides after an intake review whether a treatment is appropriate for you.

Premature Ejaculation Treatment in Michigan: Every Telehealth Provider Compared for 2026

Table of Contents

5 PE telehealth providers serve Michigan in 2026. Compare Hims, Ro, Strut, Promescent & Mate on price, meds, and Michigan insurance parity rules.

Which PE Providers Actually Operate in Michigan

Five telehealth platforms currently offer premature ejaculation treatment to Michigan residents: Hims, Ro, Strut, Promescent, and Mate. UrWay Health is not one of the five platforms compared on this page, so check its own site directly if you want to look into it. Five options is actually a solid number compared to some states where provider access is tighter, and the range covers everything from OTC topical sprays to prescription SSRIs and custom compounded formulas.
The platform you choose depends almost entirely on what kind of treatment you are after and how much you want to pay. If you want a prescription medication and a licensed Michigan physician to evaluate you, Hims, Ro, and Strut all do that. If you want a fast, no-consultation purchase of an FDA-cleared topical spray, Promescent ships directly to Michigan addresses without a prescription needed. Mate sits in the middle, covering both PE and ED with drug-free supplements and no intake process at all. Each of these is covered in detail below, with pricing and what makes each one worth considering or worth skipping for someone in Michigan specifically.

Michigan's Insurance Parity Law and What It Means for Your PE Treatment Costs

Michigan has full telehealth insurance parity, which means your insurer is required to reimburse a telehealth PE consultation at the same rate it would pay for an in-person doctor visit. This is not the case in every state. In 2026, several states still allow insurers to pay less for virtual visits or require in-person follow-ups before covering certain prescriptions. Michigan eliminated that gap, which makes using your insurance for a PE consultation genuinely worthwhile rather than a bureaucratic headache.
For Michigan residents with private insurance, the practical implication is that your consultation fee at a platform like Ro or Hims may be partially or fully covered after you meet your deductible, just like a standard office visit. Ro specifically has built insurance navigation into its platform, making it the easiest option if you want to actually use your benefits rather than pay out of pocket and forget about it. Strut and Hims are more oriented toward flat-rate cash pricing, which can be cheaper if your deductible is high.
If you are on Medicaid in Michigan, PE treatment coverage varies by plan and by the specific diagnosis your provider documents. SSRIs prescribed off-label for PE are more likely to be covered than compounded options, because Michigan Medicaid plans generally follow standard formularies. Dapoxetine has no FDA-approved product in the United States, so it is not covered by Medicaid, and none of the five platforms compared here prescribe or compound it either. If you are on a Michigan Medicaid plan and cost is the primary concern, ask your telehealth provider specifically about off-label sertraline or paroxetine, which are low-cost generics that are routinely covered.

PE Medications Available to Michigan Residents and How They Differ

Michigan residents have access to a wider medication menu than some states. The options fall into three categories among the platforms compared here: topical desensitizers, off-label SSRIs (including Strut's compounded ParoxetineMax), and combination ED plus PE compounds. Understanding the difference matters because the right choice depends on whether your PE happens occasionally or consistently, whether you also deal with ED, and how you feel about daily medication versus on-demand use.
Topical sprays containing benzocaine or lidocaine are available over the counter and ship to Michigan without a prescription. Promescent's FDA-cleared benzocaine spray is the most recognizable product in this category. These work by mildly reducing penile sensitivity, and most men notice an effect within 10 to 15 minutes of application. They are a reasonable first step if you want to try something without involving a doctor, though they do not address any psychological or physiological root causes.
Off-label SSRIs, specifically sertraline and paroxetine, are the most commonly prescribed prescription options for PE in Michigan via telehealth. These are taken either daily or a few hours before sex. They are inexpensive as generics, widely available at Michigan pharmacies including Meijer, Kroger, CVS, and Walgreens, and can be prescribed through Hims, Ro, or Strut after a short online consultation. Dapoxetine has no FDA-approved product in the United States, and none of the platforms compared here, including Strut, prescribe or compound it. Strut's compounding pharmacy backend instead offers ParoxetineMax, a custom-dosed combination of paroxetine with sildenafil or tadalafil, for $49/mo. Combination compounds that pair a PE medication with a PDE5 inhibitor for ED are also available in Michigan through Strut, which is useful if you are dealing with both conditions simultaneously.

Hims in Michigan: Pricing, Medications, and Who It Works Best For

Hims holds a 9.4 out of 10 rating and is currently marked as the most popular option on this list. Its appeal is straightforward: the mobile experience is clean, pricing on generics is low, and the platform covers a wide range of men's health concerns under one account, including ED, hair loss, and mental health, so if you are already using Hims for something else, adding PE treatment is simple.
For Michigan residents, Hims typically offers sertraline-based PE treatment plans starting at $39 per month when purchased as a subscription, though pricing can shift. The consultation is asynchronous for most users, meaning you fill out a detailed intake form and a licensed Michigan-affiliated physician reviews it and responds, usually within a few hours. If you want a real-time video call, that option exists but may cost extra. Generic prescriptions are filled through Hims's pharmacy partner and mailed directly to your Michigan address, or you can request a local pharmacy transfer if you prefer picking it up yourself.
Hims is the right call if you want low monthly costs, you are comfortable with a mostly app-based experience, and you do not have strong insurance benefits you want to use. It is not the best fit if you want custom compounded formulations or if you need active help navigating your Michigan insurance plan.

Ro in Michigan: The Top Pick for Insurance Users and Clinical Detail

Ro is rated 9.3 out of 10 and carries the designation of top choice for Michigan residents. The main reason Ro earns that label here specifically is its insurance navigation capability, which is more valuable in Michigan than in states without parity laws. Because Michigan requires equal reimbursement for telehealth, using Ro with your insurance can meaningfully reduce what you pay out of pocket compared to platforms that only do cash pricing.
Ro's clinical intake is more detailed than most competitors. The questions cover sexual history, medication history, cardiovascular health, and psychological factors that contribute to PE, and the provider response tends to be more personalized as a result. For Michigan residents who want to feel like they are actually talking to a clinician rather than filling out a form to unlock a checkout page, Ro is the better experience.
Ro also covers ED alongside PE and has infrastructure for brand-name medications if that is relevant to your situation. Pricing without insurance for PE prescriptions through Ro generally runs in the $30 to $60 per month range depending on the medication and plan. If you have commercial insurance in Michigan and your deductible is manageable, Ro is worth using your benefits on rather than paying cash.

Strut in Michigan: Custom Compounds

Strut is tied with Hims for the highest rating of the five Michigan providers at 9.4 out of 10. The platform is built around a compounding pharmacy model, meaning it can create custom formulations that standard pharmacies cannot dispense. For PE treatment, that translates to options like ParoxetineMax, a compounded paroxetine plus sildenafil or tadalafil formulation for $49/mo, or topical formulations with specific ingredient ratios.
Michigan residents who have already tried standard SSRIs or OTC topicals without satisfying results will find Strut's compounding options worth exploring. The consultation process is similarly online and asynchronous, with a licensed physician reviewing your intake and recommending a formulation. Pricing on custom compounds is higher than generic SSRI plans on Hims or Ro, often in the $50 to $90 per month range, but you are getting something that cannot be filled at a Walgreens.
Because Strut's products are compounded rather than manufactured drugs, they are generally not covered by Michigan insurance plans. This is a trade-off: you get a more tailored product but pay entirely out of pocket. If cost is your primary concern, Strut is not the starting point. If you want the most clinically personalized option available to Michigan residents, it is the strongest option on the list.

Promescent and Mate in Michigan: The Specialists Worth Knowing About

Promescent is the only provider on this list that focuses almost exclusively on topical PE treatment. Its FDA-cleared benzocaine spray ships to Michigan without any prescription or consultation required, which makes it the fastest path to trying a PE solution. The 9.0 out of 10 rating reflects a narrower product line rather than a quality problem. If you are new to PE treatment and want to start with something you can buy today without a doctor visit, Promescent is exactly that. The spray retails around $20 to $40 depending on the size, and Michigan residents can order directly from the Promescent site or find it at some local retailers.
Mate is positioned as a PE and ED specialist selling drug-free supplements, with no intake process because nothing it sells needs a prescription. Its 9 out of 10 rating ties with Promescent for the lowest of the five Michigan options, but that is not a red flag, it is a newer platform. Mate's appeal is its focused scope: it does not try to be a general men's health platform. If you want to avoid the broader menu of hair loss products and weight loss drugs that Hims or Ro surfaces, Mate keeps things cleaner, with two supplements and nothing else. Pricing is competitive with Hims for generic SSRI-based treatment plans.
Between the two, Promescent wins if you want OTC and no consultation. Mate wins if you want to avoid the prescription path altogether. Neither is the right pick if insurance billing matters to you, since both are structured around direct-pay pricing.

Getting Your PE Prescription Filled in Michigan: Local Pharmacies vs. Mail Delivery

One thing that rarely comes up in generic telehealth guides but genuinely matters for Michigan residents is where your prescription actually gets filled. Most telehealth platforms default to mailing medication from their own pharmacy partner. That works fine for most people, but if you have a Michigan pharmacy benefit through your insurance, you may get a better price by transferring the prescription to a local pharmacy instead. Hims and Ro both allow pharmacy transfers for standard medications like sertraline or paroxetine, though they do not advertise it prominently.
Michigan has strong pharmacy infrastructure. Meijer pharmacies, which are a Michigan-based chain, offer free 90-day supplies of several generic medications through their free prescription program, and sertraline is on that list. If your telehealth provider writes you a prescription for sertraline for PE, you can have it sent to a Meijer pharmacy and pay nothing for the medication itself. That is not something residents in most other states can access because Meijer does not operate nationally. It makes the actual medication cost for SSRI-based PE treatment effectively zero for many Michigan residents, even if you pay for the telehealth consultation out of pocket.
Compounded medications from Strut cannot be transferred to a local pharmacy because they are custom formulations made at a specific compounding facility. If you go the compounding route, mail delivery is your only option. For standard generics, taking advantage of Michigan's local pharmacy options, especially Meijer's free drug program, can make PE treatment significantly cheaper than the sticker price on any telehealth platform's website suggests.

Which Michigan Provider Should You Actually Choose

If you have Michigan insurance and want to use it, start with Ro. Its insurance navigation tools are the most developed of the five options, and Michigan's parity law means you have a real shot at getting the consultation covered. Ro's clinical intake is also the most thorough, which leads to better treatment recommendations if your situation is anything other than straightforward.
If you want the lowest flat monthly price, Ro's $22-a-month plan is the cheapest subscription among the five platforms. If you would rather pay for a Hims consultation and then transfer the prescription to a Meijer pharmacy to take advantage of the free generic program, your actual monthly cost for sertraline-based PE treatment could drop to the price of the consultation alone, which Hims keeps low. This combination can be cost-competitive for Michigan residents in 2026, though it is not automatically cheaper than Ro's flat $16 rate.
If you have already tried generic SSRIs or OTC sprays without success, Strut's compounding options are worth the higher price. ParoxetineMax and other combination compounds are not available anywhere else in Michigan's current provider lineup. If you want to skip prescriptions entirely and just try something today, Promescent's benzocaine spray ships fast and requires no consultation. And if you want a focused, no-frills drug-free option instead of a prescription, Mate is a solid alternative to Hims at a broadly similar monthly cost. There is no single wrong answer here, just different priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many telehealth providers offer PE treatment in Michigan right now?

Five providers currently serve Michigan residents for premature ejaculation treatment in 2026: Hims, Ro, Strut, Promescent, and Mate. UrWay Health is not one of the five platforms compared on this page, so check its own site directly if you're curious about it. Of the five available options, Strut and Hims both hold a 9.4 out of 10 rating, making them the top-rated choices by score. Ro is designated the top overall pick largely because of its insurance navigation capabilities, which are especially relevant in Michigan given the state's full telehealth insurance parity law. The five platforms cover the full range from OTC topical sprays to prescription SSRIs to custom compounded formulations.

Does Michigan insurance cover telehealth PE consultations?

Michigan has full telehealth insurance parity, meaning private insurers in Michigan must reimburse telehealth consultations at the same rate as in-person visits. This is a meaningful advantage. If your plan covers mental health or men's health visits, a PE consultation through a platform like Ro may be covered at the same copay level as a standard office appointment. Coverage of the actual medication depends on what is prescribed. Generic sertraline and paroxetine used off-label for PE are commonly covered because they are established generics on most formularies. Compounded formulations like Strut's ParoxetineMax are generally not covered by Michigan insurance plans, and dapoxetine has no FDA-approved product in the United States for any insurer to cover. If you are on Michigan Medicaid, coverage varies by your specific plan and the diagnosis your provider documents.

Can I get dapoxetine prescribed in Michigan through telehealth?

No, not through any of the five platforms compared here for Michigan. Dapoxetine has no FDA-approved product in the United States, and none of them, including Strut's compounding pharmacy, prescribe or compound dapoxetine itself. If you want the closest option, Strut compounds ParoxetineMax, a paroxetine plus sildenafil or tadalafil formulation taken once daily, for $49/mo. Other platforms like Hims and Ro focus on off-label SSRIs such as sertraline and paroxetine, which are FDA-approved for other uses and prescribed off-label for PE. Hims offers these through its Climax Control plan from $39/mo, and Ro's off-label sertraline starts at $16/mo. Expect to pay out of pocket for Strut's compound, since Michigan insurance plans do not typically cover compounded medications.

What is the cheapest PE treatment option available in Michigan?

Ro's $22-a-month plan is the lowest flat monthly price among the five platforms. A lower-touch alternative for Michigan residents in 2026 combines a low-cost telehealth consultation through Hims with a prescription transfer to a Meijer pharmacy. Meijer, a Michigan-based chain, offers sertraline as part of its free 90-day generic program, meaning the medication itself costs nothing. Hims typically charges $39 per month for a subscription plan, but a significant portion of that covers the medication cost. By separating the consultation from the medication and filling at Meijer, many Michigan residents can reduce their total monthly cost substantially. If you want to avoid prescriptions entirely, Promescent's benzocaine spray is available without a consultation for $20 to $40 and ships directly to Michigan, making it the cheapest no-prescription option.

Is Promescent available in Michigan without a prescription?

Yes, Promescent's FDA-cleared benzocaine spray ships to Michigan addresses without requiring a prescription or any telehealth consultation. Benzocaine is classified as an over-the-counter active ingredient for topical use, so the product can be ordered directly from Promescent's website or found at some Michigan retailers. It typically retails between $20 and $40 depending on the size you choose. Promescent is rated 9 out of 10 and is the most straightforward first step for Michigan residents who want to try a PE solution without involving a doctor. The spray works by mildly reducing sensitivity and takes effect within 10 to 15 minutes of application. It does not require any ongoing prescription, though some men eventually move to prescription options for more consistent results.

How does Strut's compounding pharmacy model work for Michigan residents?

Strut operates by pairing an online telehealth consultation with a compounding pharmacy that creates custom formulations based on your provider's recommendation. For Michigan residents, the process is fully remote: you complete a detailed intake form, a licensed physician reviews it and recommends a specific formulation, and the compounded medication is mailed directly to your Michigan address. Strut's core PE compound is ParoxetineMax, which combines paroxetine with sildenafil or tadalafil for men managing both PE and ED, dosed once daily for $49/mo. Michigan insurance plans generally do not cover compounded medications. Strut holds a 9.4 out of 10 rating, tied with Hims for the highest of any Michigan PE provider.

Which Michigan PE provider is best for men also dealing with ED?

If you are managing both premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction, Strut is the strongest option in Michigan because it can create combination compounds that address both conditions in a single medication. ParoxetineMax, which pairs paroxetine with sildenafil or tadalafil, is available through Strut's compounding pharmacy model for $49/mo. Ro is also a strong option if you want to use insurance, since it covers both conditions and has clinical intake designed to capture the full picture of your sexual health. Hims covers both PE and ED but typically as separate generic treatments rather than combined formulations. Mate positions itself explicitly as a PE and ED specialist, with a separate drug-free supplement for each, though it offers nothing comparable to Strut's compounding and customization because it does not prescribe.

How long does it take to get PE medication delivered in Michigan?

Delivery timelines for Michigan residents depend on the provider and medication type. For standard generic medications like sertraline through Hims or Ro, most Michigan addresses receive mail delivery within three to five business days after the consultation is approved and the prescription is filled. Expedited shipping is available on most platforms for an extra fee. If you request a transfer to a Michigan local pharmacy such as a Kroger, CVS, or Meijer location, you can typically pick up same-day or next-day once the transfer is processed, which usually takes a few hours. Strut's compounded medications take longer because they are prepared to order at a compounding pharmacy, and delivery to Michigan generally runs five to seven business days. Promescent ships OTC from its warehouse and often arrives in two to four days for Michigan addresses.

Are SSRIs like sertraline actually effective for PE, and how do Michigan providers prescribe them?

Sertraline and paroxetine are used off-label for premature ejaculation based on a well-documented side effect: they delay ejaculation. Clinical evidence supports their use, and they are among the most commonly prescribed treatments for PE by Michigan telehealth providers. Both Hims and Ro prescribe them routinely after an online consultation. They can be taken daily at a low dose to build a consistent effect, or taken a few hours before sex in a targeted approach. Most men notice improvement within a few weeks of daily use. In Michigan, both sertraline and paroxetine are available as inexpensive generics at local pharmacies including Meijer, where sertraline is available for free through the generic prescription program. A licensed Michigan-affiliated physician at any of the telehealth platforms listed here can evaluate whether an SSRI is appropriate for your situation.

Can Michigan Medicaid cover PE treatment through telehealth?

Michigan Medicaid may cover parts of PE treatment depending on your specific plan and the diagnosis your provider documents. Michigan Medicaid does cover telehealth consultations, and the state's parity framework applies to Medicaid managed care plans. For medications, off-label sertraline or paroxetine have the best chance of coverage because they are standard generic drugs already on Michigan Medicaid formularies for their primary indications. If the prescribing provider documents the clinical rationale, coverage is more likely than if the visit is framed purely as a sexual performance concern. Compounded formulations like Strut's ParoxetineMax are not covered, and dapoxetine has no FDA-approved product in the United States for Medicaid or any insurer to cover. Promescent's OTC spray is also not covered. If you are on Michigan Medicaid and cost is the priority, the most realistic path is an SSRI via telehealth with the prescription filled at a Michigan pharmacy that participates in your Medicaid plan.

Regulatory noticeRegulatory note (verified August 22, 2026): On September 9, 2025 the FDA sent Hims & Hers Health, Inc. a warning letter covering the Hims brand, MARCS-CMS 716567, drawn from a review of hims.com the previous month. Two lines about compounded semaglutide are quoted in it: "Same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy" and "Clinically proven ingredients." Compounded drug products are not FDA-approved, and the agency said phrasing of this sort suggests otherwise, which is what makes the products misbranded under FD&C Act sections 502(a) and 502(bb). Regulatory noticeRegulatory note (verified October 8, 2026): The FDA reviewed struthealth.com in December 2025 and, on February 20, 2026, issued Strut Health, LLC a warning letter, MARCS-CMS 721448. It raises two separate problems. Pictured product labels carry the "Strut" name, which the agency said represents Strut as the compounder of the semaglutide and tirzepatide products when it is not. The letter also quotes three claims from the site, among them "Generic Zepbound, Mounjaro", along with site copy naming semaglutide and tirzepatide as the active ingredient in the brand medications. Because compounded drugs hold no FDA approval, the FDA said wording of that kind implies one, and it cited misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FD&C Act. The letter adds that introducing or delivering the products it identifies into interstate commerce is a prohibited act under section 301(a), that receiving them in interstate commerce and delivering or offering to deliver them also violates section 301(c), and that a compounded drug product must meet the conditions of section 503A or 503B of the FD&C Act to be exempt from certain requirements, including the new drug approval requirements. When we checked FDA's warning letter index for Strut Health, LLC on October 8, 2026 it showed no response letter and no close-out letter, so we treat the matter as open. Read the FDA letter
