Medvi vs Taurus Meds

Complete 2026 Comparison for Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction

Our Verdict

Both sell one compounded multi-drug ED formula rather than a choice of tablets, and neither formula has been approved or reviewed by the FDA. MEDVi Quad starts at $114.00 a month as of 2026-09-06 and combines tadalafil, sildenafil, vardenafil and L-Citrulline. Taurus Charge starts at $129.90 a month as of 2026-08-22 and combines the same three prescription molecules with apomorphine, whose US approvals are for Parkinson's disease rather than ED. MEDVi is cheaper by about $16 a month and is carrying an open FDA warning letter citing misbranding from February 20, 2026; we hold no FDA letter for Taurus.

Pick Medvi if

you want the lower entry price of the two, $114.00 a month as of 2026-09-06, you would rather have an amino acid than a fourth prescription drug in the blend, and you want approval settled fast, which MEDVi puts at a three-minute evaluation and a decision inside 24 hours with no charge if you do not qualify. You have to be willing to buy from a company with an open FDA warning letter citing misbranding on its record.

Pick Taurus Meds if

you would rather take one liquid dose than separate tablets, you want ED handled on the same platform as testosterone therapy, peptides or hair regrowth, and a clean regulatory record in our data is worth $16 a month to you. It carries the higher of the two scores, 9.6 against MEDVi's 9.2, though both are our own editorial judgments rather than a computed index. The trade is the apomorphine question, which you should raise with the clinician who reviews your case.

A genuinely close call that should not be decided on price or score. MEDVi is cheaper by about $16 a month and carries an open FDA warning letter citing misbranding; Taurus has no letter in our records but puts apomorphine, approved in the US for Parkinson's disease, into an ED formula. Both formulas are compounded and outside FDA review.

Who This Is For

This is for
  • Men seeking ED medication who want to compare costs and options across multiple online providers before committing.
  • Men comparing prescription availability, pricing, and dosage options across telehealth services in their state.
  • Men who want a licensed prescriber and pharmacy, but prefer an independent comparison over going direct to one brand.
Not for
  • If you take nitrates for heart conditions, online ED treatment is not safe - see a cardiologist first.
  • Sudden or unexplained ED alongside chest pain or shortness of breath needs in-person cardiac evaluation, not telehealth.
  • An erection lasting over 4 hours requires emergency care, not an online consultation.

These notes are not a medical screening: a licensed provider decides after an intake review whether a treatment is appropriate for you.

MEDVi vs Taurus Meds for ED: What Is Actually in Each Formula

Ben KowalskiWritten by Ben KowalskiStaff Writer
11 min readUpdated October 6, 2026

Table of Contents

If you are choosing between these two, the decision is not which tablet to take. Neither company is selling you a tablet. MEDVi sells one combination product called Quad and Taurus Meds sells one combination product called Charge, both compounded, both built from three of the same prescription molecules, and both carrying a different fourth ingredient. The starting prices are about $16 apart. The real differences are what that fourth ingredient is, and the fact that one of these two companies is sitting on an open FDA warning letter.

What is actually in each formula

MEDVi lists Quad as tadalafil, sildenafil, vardenafil and L-Citrulline combined into one dose. Taurus Meds lists Charge as a liquid that blends sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil with apomorphine. Three of the four ingredients are the same on both sides.
Both products are compounded, and both companies say so in their own listings. A compounded formula has not been approved or reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. The three PDE5 molecules each hold FDA approvals on their own; combining them into a single formula is the part that sits outside any FDA review. Both listings make that distinction in their own words, which is to their credit and is also the single most important sentence on either product page.
Neither listing we hold names a plain single-molecule generic option at the starting price. That does not mean neither company offers one, only that we did not verify one, so treat the combination formula as what you are actually buying.
  • MEDVi Quad: tadalafil, sildenafil, vardenafil, L-Citrulline. One dose. Compounded, not approved or reviewed by the FDA.
  • Taurus Charge: sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, apomorphine. Liquid. Compounded, not approved or reviewed by the FDA.
  • Shared molecules: sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil. Each is FDA-approved on its own. The combination is not.

The fourth ingredient is the whole comparison

Taurus adds apomorphine. Its US approvals are for Parkinson's disease, not for erectile dysfunction, so including it in an ED formula puts it outside the indication it was approved under, in a population it was not approved for. Taurus discloses this in its own feature copy rather than burying it, which is more than most of this category does.
MEDVi adds L-Citrulline. Our data does not carry a regulatory status for that ingredient, so we are not going to assert one in either direction. What we can say is that it is the only one of the eight listed ingredients across both products that is not a prescription drug by name.
If you take one question into a consultation with either company, make it this one. You are not comparing two versions of the same thing. You are comparing a three-drug formula plus an amino acid against a three-drug formula plus a drug approved for a neurological condition.
MEDVi's own disclosure that Quad is compounded is the reason it cannot be read as the same thing as an approved product.

$16 apart, and two different pricing shapes

MEDVi's ED line starts at $114.00 a month, verified as of 2026-09-06. Taurus Meds starts at $129.90 a month, verified as of 2026-08-22.
The two companies price in different shapes. Taurus markets Charge on a per-dose basis while the figure we hold and can stand behind is a monthly starting price. MEDVi prices monthly. If you are doing the arithmetic yourself, make sure you are comparing a month to a month and not a dose to a month, because that is exactly where this category gets confusing.
On what is bundled in, MEDVi states that a doctor consultation is included, that the evaluation takes about three minutes with approval inside 24 hours, that you are not charged if you do not qualify, and that rush shipping is free and in plain packaging. Taurus states that the service is entirely online, that licensed clinicians prescribe and then monitor the treatment, and that it ships to you.
  • MEDVi, erectile dysfunction: from $114.00 per month, verified 2026-09-06.
  • Taurus Meds, erectile dysfunction: from $129.90 per month, verified 2026-08-22.
  • Gap at the floor: about $16 a month in MEDVi's favor.
  • Not verified at either company: refund terms, state coverage, or what the price does after the first month.

One of these two has an open FDA warning letter

On February 20, 2026 the FDA issued MEDVi, LLC a warning letter, MARCS-CMS 721455, citing misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Reviewing medvi.io in December 2025, the agency said that labels bearing the MEDVi name implied MEDVi compounds the drugs when it does not, and that two sameness claims equating its compounded drug with brand-name products implied an FDA approval compounded drugs do not hold.
MEDVi has stated that medvi.io is affiliate-operated rather than company-operated. We could not verify that, and the letter is addressed to MEDVi, LLC. We checked FDA's warning letter index for MARCS-CMS 721455 on October 6, 2026: it listed no response letter and no close-out letter, so the letter has not been closed out.
We hold no FDA warning letter for Taurus Meds. Read that as the absence of a record in our data rather than as any kind of clearance. A letter like this is a finding about claims language, not a product recall, and it says nothing about a specific order. It is still a fact about the company that would be dispensing to you, and on a comparison this close it is the heaviest thing on the scale.

One ED product, or one corner of a men's health platform

Taurus positions Charge as part of a wider men's health service that also covers testosterone therapy, peptides and hair regrowth. Its TRT line starts at $149.00 a month, verified as of 2026-09-12. One caveat we will not paper over: that listing names both a free baseline testosterone test and $49 labs with clinician review, and we did not reconcile the two, so ask which applies to you. Taurus also notes that testosterone cypionate injections are FDA-approved while its enclomiphene option is compounded and not FDA-approved.
The other category we verified at MEDVi is weight loss, starting at $299.00 a month as of 2026-09-12 with doctor-guided GLP-1 care, dietitian visits and coaching included.
This matters only if it matters to you. If ED is one of two or three things you want looked at, Taurus can hold more of them under one login. If it is the only thing, breadth is a feature you will never use and you should ignore it entirely.

The ratings, and why they should not decide this

Taurus Meds scores 9.6 out of 10 on our scale, labeled Exceptional. MEDVi scores 9.2, labeled Outstanding. Those scores are editorial judgments made by our team, not the output of a weighted formula.
A 0.4-point gap should not move you. What should move you is that one company adds an amino acid to its blend and the other adds a drug whose US approvals are for Parkinson's disease, and that one of the two is carrying an open warning letter citing misbranding. Those are the facts worth deciding on.

How We Compared Medvi vs Taurus Meds

How we put this comparison together

Every price on this page comes from our own brand feature records, and each one is shown with the date we last verified it. Where that date is older than a few weeks we say so, because a starting price in this category can move between verifications. We quote floors only: the lowest monthly figure a company publishes for the category, never a figure below it and never a figure dressed up as what you will actually pay.

The regulatory section comes from the FDA's own warning letter index, read by letter number. We report what the letter says the agency found, we say whether a close-out letter exists, and where a company disputes the facts of a letter we print the dispute and whether we could verify it.

Where our records had a gap, we left the gap visible. Refund terms, state-by-state availability and renewal pricing are all unverified at both companies, and we would rather say that than fill it in.

Final Verdict: Medvi vs Taurus Meds

The verdict

MEDVi is about $16 a month cheaper at the floor and ships rush and in plain packaging. Taurus scores higher with us and carries no FDA letter in our records. If those were the only inputs this would be a coin toss.

They are not the only inputs. Both products are compounded combinations that no FDA review covers. Taurus's fourth ingredient is approved in the US for Parkinson's disease rather than for ED, which is a question to put to a clinician before you order, not after. MEDVi is carrying an open warning letter citing misbranding from February 2026 over how it described its own compounded products, with no close-out on record.

So the honest answer is that neither one wins on quality, because we cannot measure that, and both ask you to accept a formula outside FDA review. Choose on what you are least uncomfortable with: the ingredient question at Taurus, or the compliance record at MEDVi. If neither sits well, a single-molecule generic from a provider that sells one drug at a time is a legitimate third answer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the MEDVi Quad formula FDA-approved?

No. MEDVi's own listing describes Quad as a compounded four-in-one formula, and compounded medications are not approved or reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. Tadalafil, sildenafil and vardenafil each hold FDA approvals as standalone drugs, which is a separate thing from the combination being approved. It is not.

How much does Taurus Meds cost per month for ED?

The starting price we verified is $129.90 a month, as of 2026-08-22. Taurus markets Charge per dose rather than per month in its own copy, so if you see a smaller figure quoted anywhere, check what unit it is attached to before you compare it to anything. The monthly starting figure is the one we can stand behind, and it is a starting price rather than a final bill.

Why is apomorphine in an ED treatment?

Taurus includes it as the fourth ingredient in Charge alongside sildenafil, tadalafil and vardenafil. Worth knowing before you order: apomorphine's US approvals are all for Parkinson's disease rather than for erectile dysfunction, so its use here falls outside the indication and population it was approved for. Taurus says so in its own feature copy. Raise it with the clinician who reviews your case.

Which is cheaper, MEDVi or Taurus Meds?

MEDVi, at the starting price. $114.00 a month as of 2026-09-06 against $129.90 a month as of 2026-08-22, so roughly $16 a month apart. Both figures are entry prices and neither tells you what a full year costs, because we could not verify what either price does after the first month.

Does MEDVi charge you if you are not approved for treatment?

MEDVi states that if you do not qualify, you do not pay. That is the company's own stated term and we have not seen the contract language behind it, so treat it as a claim to confirm at checkout rather than as a verified refund policy. Taurus does not state an equivalent term in the listing we hold.

Does Taurus Meds treat anything besides ED?

Yes. Testosterone therapy from $149.00 a month as of 2026-09-12, plus peptides and hair regrowth, all under the same platform. Its TRT listing names both a free baseline testosterone test and $49 labs with clinician review, and we did not reconcile those two, so confirm which one applies before you budget for it. MEDVi's other verified line is weight loss, from $299.00 a month as of 2026-09-12.

Has either company been warned by the FDA?

MEDVi has. The FDA issued MEDVi, LLC warning letter MARCS-CMS 721455 on February 20, 2026, citing misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act over labeling that implied MEDVi compounds its own drugs and over sameness claims that implied an approval compounded drugs do not hold. We checked FDA's warning letter index for MARCS-CMS 721455 on October 6, 2026: it listed no response letter and no close-out letter, so the letter has not been closed out. We hold no such letter for Taurus Meds, which means we found no record, not that a record cannot exist.

How we scoreOur 1 to 10 brand scores are our own editorial judgment. They are not aggregated from third-party review platforms and they are not the output of a scoring formula.

What a starting price isA starting price is the lowest figure a company lists for a category, not a quote. What you pay follows a clinician's review of your intake, and where a required membership or care plan sits alongside the medication we publish the two charges combined.

Reading a warning letterA close-out letter is FDA's record that it has evaluated a company's corrective actions, so the absence of one means the file is not closed on the public record, and nothing more than that.

Regulatory noticeRegulatory note (verified August 22, 2026): On February 20, 2026 the FDA issued MEDVi, LLC a warning letter (MARCS-CMS 721455) citing misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FD&C Act. Reviewing medvi.io in December 2025, the FDA said labels bearing "MEDVi" implied MEDVi compounds the drugs when it does not, and that "Same active ingredient as Wegovy and Ozempic" and "Same active ingredient as Mounjaro and Zepbound" implied an FDA approval compounded drugs do not have. Checking FDA's warning letter index for MARCS-CMS 721455, we found no response letter and no close-out letter entered against it, so the letter is not closed out on the public record. MEDVi states medvi.io is affiliate-operated rather than company-operated; we could not verify that, and the letter is addressed to MEDVi, LLC. Read the FDA letter

Regulatory noticeRegulatory note (verified August 22, 2026): The FDA reviewed struthealth.com in December 2025 and, on February 20, 2026, issued Strut Health, LLC a warning letter, MARCS-CMS 721448. It raises two separate problems. Pictured product labels carry the "Strut" name, which the agency said represents Strut as the compounder of the semaglutide and tirzepatide products when it is not. Three site claims are also quoted, among them "Generic Zepbound, Mounjaro" and "Semaglutide is the active ingredient in the brand medications." Because compounded drugs hold no FDA approval, the FDA said wording of that kind implies one, and it cited misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FD&C Act. FDA’s warning letter index shows no response letter and no close-out letter, so we treat the matter as open. Read the FDA letter

Regulatory noticeRegulatory note (verified August 22, 2026): On September 9, 2025 the FDA sent Hims & Hers Health, Inc. a warning letter covering the Hims brand, MARCS-CMS 716567, drawn from a review of hims.com the previous month. Two lines about compounded semaglutide are quoted in it: "Same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy" and "Clinically proven ingredients." Compounded drug products are not FDA-approved, and the agency said phrasing of this sort suggests otherwise, which is what makes the products misbranded under FD&C Act sections 502(a) and 502(bb). A companion letter went to the same company that day for its Hers brand. No close-out letter appears in FDA’s index; treat this as open. Read the FDA letter
