Strut vs TrimRx

Complete 2026 Comparison for Weight Loss

Weight Loss

Our Verdict

Strut's compounded weight-loss floor is $99 a month and TrimRx's is $179, both verified as of 2026-08-21, an $80 gap at entry, and TrimRx prices compounded tirzepatide from $259. The more consequential difference is on the public record: on February 20, 2026 the FDA issued Strut Health, LLC a warning letter citing misbranding over its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide marketing, including the Strut name on labels it does not compound and the claim "Generic Zepbound, Mounjaro". We hold no warning letter for TrimRx. TrimRx is also the only one of the two listing brand-name Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy, though we hold no price for those tiers. Strut is by far the wider company, with five live lines from $25 a month, against TrimRx's single weight-loss focus. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as finished drug products: the FDA has not reviewed them for safety, quality or effectiveness. Our editorial score is 9.4 out of 10 for both; TrimRx holds a 3.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot, observed 2026-09-11, and we hold no third-party rating for Strut.

Pick Strut

The $99 a month entry floor is the number that makes treatment possible, verified as of 2026-08-21, and if you value having erectile dysfunction, hair loss, premature ejaculation and a women's health line behind the same intake. Go in knowing the weight-loss product is compounded, which means no FDA approval and no FDA review of safety, effectiveness or quality, and knowing that the FDA sent this company a warning letter citing misbranding in February 2026 over how that line was marketed.

Pick TrimRx

You want the manufacturer-made pens on the same menu as the cheaper option. It lists brand-name Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy alongside compounded semaglutide at $179 a month and compounded tirzepatide at $259 a month, with a free quiz, a free doctor consultation and free tracked shipping, and our file holds no regulatory action against it. You pay $80 a month more than Strut at entry, we have no brand-name pricing to show you, and its Trustpilot average is 3.6 out of 5.

Strut takes the price question at the entry tier, $99 against $179 a month, and is the only one of the two that treats anything other than weight loss. TrimRx takes the regulatory question and the menu: it is the only side listing brand-name Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy, and our file holds no FDA action against it, while Strut carries a February 2026 warning letter citing misbranding over its compounded GLP-1 marketing. Both score 9.4 out of 10 with us, which says more about how we score than about how they compare.

Who This Is For

This is for
  • You want to compare medication options, monthly costs, and state availability across multiple telehealth providers.
  • You prefer reviewing licensed provider programs independently before committing to a subscription.
  • The FDA-approved labeling for Wegovy and Zepbound covers weight reduction in adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, and in adults with a BMI of 27 or higher who have at least one weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure. If you are near either number, ask a licensed provider where you fall before choosing a platform.
  • If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, the Wegovy label directs you to stop semaglutide once pregnancy is recognized and two months before a planned pregnancy, so raise it at intake.
  • If you are breastfeeding, ask the provider what the label for the specific medication says, because the labels differ.
  • If you have a history of disordered eating, tell the provider at intake, because it is part of what a prescriber weighs before starting a weight loss medication.
  • If you have had bariatric surgery or are considering it, tell the provider at intake, because it changes what a prescriber will consider.
  • A remote visit cannot include a physical exam or in-office testing. If that matters for your situation, raise it with a licensed provider before choosing a platform.
  • If this is an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Telehealth is not for emergency care.

These notes are not a medical screening: a licensed provider decides after an intake review whether a treatment is appropriate for you.

Strut vs TrimRx: the Cheaper GLP-1 Floor, and What the FDA Said About It

Eric GoldWritten by Eric GoldEditor-in-Chief
11 min readUpdated October 7, 2026

Table of Contents

On the receipt this is a short comparison. Strut's weight-loss floor is $99 a month and TrimRx's is $179 a month, both verified as of 2026-08-21, so the entry gap is $80. On the public record it is a longer one, because the FDA sent Strut Health, LLC a warning letter citing misbranding that is specifically about how its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide line was marketed, and we hold no letter of any kind for TrimRx. The rest of this page is the detail around those two facts: which product each price buys, who stocks the brand-name pens, how much else each company treats, and where our evidence runs thin.

Read the FDA letter to Strut before you read its price

The FDA reviewed struthealth.com in December 2025 and, on February 20, 2026, issued Strut Health, LLC a warning letter citing misbranding, MARCS-CMS 721448. It is not about a side issue. It is about the compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide line, which is the exact product this page is comparing.
Two separate problems sit in it. The product labels pictured in the letter carry the Strut name, and the agency said that represents Strut as the compounder of those products when it is not. The FDA also quoted claims from the site, among them the phrase "Generic Zepbound, Mounjaro", and said that because compounded drugs hold no FDA approval, wording of that kind implies one. The letter cites sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. A second quoted line described semaglutide's relationship to the brand-name medications in the same register, and drew the same objection.
We searched FDA's warning letter index for Strut Health, LLC on 2026-10-07: the entry for MARCS-CMS 721448 listed no response letter and no close-out letter. Our records hold no warning letter of any kind for TrimRx, which is a difference in the paperwork rather than a verdict on either company's medication.
None of this removes Strut from the comparison, and we are not reading the letter as a finding about what arrives at your door. It is context to carry into the $99, and a question worth putting to Strut directly before you pay.
  • Warning letter MARCS-CMS 721448, issued to Strut Health, LLC on February 20, 2026
  • Grounds: the Strut name on compounded product labels, plus marketing claims the FDA said imply an approval compounded drugs do not hold
  • The letter cites sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act
  • Nothing comparable on file for TrimRx

What the eighty dollars at entry actually covers

Strut's weight-loss floor is $99 a month, verified as of 2026-08-21. TrimRx's is $179 a month, verified the same day. Both are floors, meaning the lowest configuration we were able to verify, and neither is a quote for what you will be charged. Which tier you land in follows from a clinical decision after your intake.
On the molecule the two sides line up only partly. Strut's weight-loss record describes compounded injectable semaglutide. TrimRx prices compounded semaglutide from $179 a month and compounded tirzepatide from $259 a month, so within TrimRx you can at least see what the second molecule costs. We hold no separate tirzepatide price for Strut, so that is a comparison we will not make.
What is bundled differs in a way the headline numbers hide. Strut lists a free online MD visit, free follow-up care and free shipping, and says your Strut doctor manages the dosage increase plan as treatment goes on. TrimRx lists a free two-minute qualification quiz, a free doctor consultation and free tracked shipping after approval. Neither record shows a separate membership charge stacked on top of the monthly figure.
So the honest arithmetic is $80 a month at the entry tier, semaglutide against semaglutide, with a consultation and shipping included on both sides.
  • Strut, compounded injectable semaglutide: from $99 a month, verified as of 2026-08-21
  • TrimRx, compounded semaglutide: from $179 a month, verified as of 2026-08-21
  • TrimRx, compounded tirzepatide: from $259 a month
  • A free consultation and free shipping appear on both records

Only one of the two keeps the brand-name pens on the shelf

This is the fork that outlasts the price. TrimRx lists brand-name Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy as available alongside its compounded tiers. Strut's weight-loss record lists the compounded injection and nothing else.
The distinction is regulatory, not cosmetic. A compounded injection is made to order and is not an FDA-approved finished drug product: no FDA approval sits behind it, and the FDA has not reviewed it for safety, effectiveness or quality. Those are manufacturer-made medications, a different class of product from a compounded preparation, and that distinction matters more than any price on this page. That is what TrimRx's menu gives you access to and Strut's, as we have it recorded, does not.
One caveat on the money. We hold no price for TrimRx's brand-name tiers, so if a manufacturer-made pen is what you are after, treat $179 as the floor for the compounded lane only and ask TrimRx what the branded lane costs before you commit.
  • TrimRx lists brand-name Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy; we hold no price for those tiers
  • Strut's weight-loss line, as recorded, is compounded only
  • Compounded products carry no FDA approval and no FDA review of safety, effectiveness or quality

One company does weight loss, the other does five things

TrimRx holds one live category with us: weight loss. Strut holds five. Erectile dysfunction from $30 a month, hair loss from $25 a month, premature ejaculation from $49 a month, weight loss from $99 a month, and a women's health line from $49 a month.
That breadth is worth something concrete if you expect to treat more than one thing, because it means one intake and one account rather than two of each. It is worth nothing at all if weight loss is the only reason you are here, and we are not going to pretend a wider catalogue makes the weight-loss product better. The FDA letter above attaches to this company's compounded GLP-1 marketing, not to its finasteride or its generic tadalafil.
Read the other way round, TrimRx's single category is simply a narrower business. Our records give us no basis to call that focus an advantage in care, so we are not calling it one.
  • Strut live categories: erectile dysfunction, hair loss, premature ejaculation, weight loss, women's health
  • Strut hair loss includes FDA-approved finasteride 1mg, approved for male pattern hair loss, from $25 a month, verified as of 2026-07-22
  • Strut erectile dysfunction starts at $30 a month for FDA-approved generics, verified as of 2026-08-22
  • TrimRx live categories: weight loss only

Identical house scores, and one outside number

Our own editorial score lands both of these in the same place: Strut 9.4 out of 10, TrimRx 9.4 out of 10, both labelled Outstanding. That score is ours. It is not a rating anyone else published.
Outside our own file, there is one figure to report and one blank. TrimRx holds a 3.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot, observed 2026-09-11. For Strut we hold no third-party rating, so we publish none, in any form. The blank is a hole in our records rather than a low score in disguise, and it should not be read as either a point for Strut or a point against it.
A 9.4 from us next to a 3.6 on Trustpilot is a wide spread, and it is wide because the two numbers measure different things. Ours is an editorial judgment, not a computed score, and what informs it is the published offer, how clearly the pricing is stated and how much each company publishes about what it sells. Trustpilot weighs whatever its reviewers chose to write about.
  • Our editorial score: Strut 9.4 out of 10, TrimRx 9.4 out of 10
  • TrimRx on Trustpilot: 3.6 out of 5, observed 2026-09-11
  • Strut: no third-party rating on file

How We Compared Strut vs TrimRx

How we put this page together

Every brand fact on this page was read out of our live brand and category records on the day the page was written. Nothing here comes from memory, from either company's advertising as we last recalled it, or from a plausible-looking gap filler.

Prices. We keep one authoritative monthly floor per brand per category, with the date it was last verified. Strut weight loss: $99 a month, verified as of 2026-08-21. TrimRx weight loss: $179 a month, verified as of 2026-08-21, with compounded tirzepatide from $259 a month. A floor is the cheapest configuration we could verify, so we never publish a figure beneath it and never present one as what you will be charged.

The regulatory record. Strut's entry rests on the FDA's warning letter citing misbranding, MARCS-CMS 721448, dated February 20, 2026, and on our reading of FDA's own warning letter index, recorded in the first section above. We hold no warning letter for TrimRx. Absence of a letter in our file is absence of a letter in our file, nothing more.

Ratings. Our 9.4 out of 10 is an editorial score and it is ours. The only outside figure on this page is TrimRx's 3.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot, observed 2026-09-11. We hold no third-party rating for Strut and therefore state none.

What is deliberately missing. No outcome figures appear anywhere on this page: no pounds, no percentages, no timelines. No dosing guidance either. We also left TrimRx's brand-name pricing and Strut's tirzepatide pricing blank, because we do not have them.

Final Verdict: Strut vs TrimRx

Where this lands

If the entry price decides it, Strut. $99 a month against $179 is a real $80 gap at the bottom tier, with a free MD visit, free follow-up care and free shipping listed alongside it. You are accepting two things in exchange. The product is compounded, so no FDA approval and no FDA review of safety, effectiveness or quality sits behind it. And the company has an FDA warning letter citing misbranding, specifically about how that compounded line was marketed, with the index status recorded above.

If you want a manufacturer-made pen on the menu, TrimRx. It is the only one of the two that lists brand-name Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy, it prices a second compounded molecule at $259 a month, and our file holds no regulatory action against it. You pay $80 a month more at entry, you are still handed a compounded product at that entry tier, and its Trustpilot average of 3.6 out of 5 is worth reading before you decide.

If weight loss is one of several things you want handled, Strut is the only one of the two that treats anything else, with four further lines live from $25 a month.

This page recommends neither one. We earn a commission if you buy through our links, and that is true of both brands here. Two questions are worth asking before you pay: ask TrimRx what its brand-name tiers cost, and ask Strut where its February 2026 warning letter now stands.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is cheaper for a GLP-1, Strut or TrimRx?

Strut, at the entry tier. Its compounded weight-loss floor is $99 a month against TrimRx's $179 a month, both verified as of 2026-08-21, so you are looking at $80 a month at the bottom of each menu. Those are floors, not quotes, and the tier you are actually placed in follows your intake rather than your budget.

Why did the FDA send Strut a warning letter?

The agency reviewed struthealth.com in December 2025 and, on February 20, 2026, issued Strut Health, LLC a warning letter citing misbranding. It raised two things: the Strut name on the pictured labels of its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide products, which the FDA said represents Strut as the compounder when it is not, and site claims including "Generic Zepbound, Mounjaro", which the FDA said imply an approval that compounded drugs do not hold. The letter cites sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The section above records what FDA's index showed when we checked it.

Can I get brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound through either of these?

TrimRx lists brand-name Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound and Wegovy alongside its compounded tiers. We hold no price for those tiers, so ask TrimRx what the branded lane costs. Strut's weight-loss record, as we have it, lists the compounded injection only.

Is compounded semaglutide FDA approved?

No. A compounded medication is made to order rather than approved, so it is not an FDA-approved finished drug product and the FDA has not reviewed it for safety, effectiveness or quality. That is true of the compounded tiers on both sides of this page. The brand-name pens TrimRx lists are manufacturer-made medications, a different class of product from a compounded preparation, and that is the substance of the difference between the two lanes.

Does Strut treat anything besides weight loss?

Yes, four more lines are live with us: erectile dysfunction from $30 a month and premature ejaculation from $49 a month, both verified as of 2026-08-22, hair loss from $25 a month, verified as of 2026-07-22, and a women's health product from $49 a month, verified as of 2026-08-22. TrimRx is weight loss only.

What are these two rated?

We can only answer half of that. TrimRx sits at 3.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot, observed 2026-09-11. We hold no third-party rating for Strut, so we will not quote one in any form. Our own editorial score, which is a separate thing and is ours, is 9.4 out of 10 for both.

How we scoreOur 1 to 10 brand scores are our own editorial judgment. They are not aggregated from third-party review platforms and they are not the output of a scoring formula.

What a starting price isA starting price is the lowest figure a company lists for a category, not a quote. What you pay follows a clinician's review of your intake, and where a required membership or care plan sits alongside the medication we publish the two charges combined.

Reading a warning letterA close-out letter is FDA's record that it has evaluated a company's corrective actions, so the absence of one means the file is not closed on the public record, and nothing more than that.

Regulatory noticeRegulatory note (verified October 8, 2026): The FDA reviewed struthealth.com in December 2025 and, on February 20, 2026, issued Strut Health, LLC a warning letter, MARCS-CMS 721448. It raises two separate problems. Pictured product labels carry the "Strut" name, which the agency said represents Strut as the compounder of the semaglutide and tirzepatide products when it is not. The letter also quotes three claims from the site, among them "Generic Zepbound, Mounjaro", along with site copy naming semaglutide and tirzepatide as the active ingredient in the brand medications. Because compounded drugs hold no FDA approval, the FDA said wording of that kind implies one, and it cited misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FD&C Act. The letter adds that introducing or delivering the products it identifies into interstate commerce is a prohibited act under section 301(a), that receiving them in interstate commerce and delivering or offering to deliver them also violates section 301(c), and that a compounded drug product must meet the conditions of section 503A or 503B of the FD&C Act to be exempt from certain requirements, including the new drug approval requirements. When we checked FDA's warning letter index for Strut Health, LLC on October 8, 2026 it showed no response letter and no close-out letter, so we treat the matter as open. Read the FDA letter

Regulatory noticeRegulatory note (verified October 8, 2026): On February 20, 2026 the FDA issued MEDVi, LLC a warning letter (MARCS-CMS 721455) citing misbranding under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FD&C Act. Reviewing medvi.io in December 2025, the FDA said labels bearing "MEDVi" implied MEDVi compounds the drugs when it does not, and that site copy presenting the compounded drug as having the same active ingredient as Wegovy and Ozempic, and as Mounjaro and Zepbound, implied an FDA approval compounded drugs do not have. When we checked FDA's warning letter index for MEDVi, LLC on October 8, 2026 it showed no response letter and no close-out letter entered against it, so the letter is not closed out on the public record. MEDVi states medvi.io is affiliate-operated rather than company-operated; we could not verify that, and the letter is addressed to MEDVi, LLC. Read the FDA letter
